The Making Of An Album

Introduction

I wrote this article in response to the numerous requests for information on how to produce an album and create a CD using a desktop computer music system. If your interest is to learn how this is done, this article should prove helpful. In all likelihood, you should be able to glean enough information to produce your own album after reading this step-by-step chronology. Presented here is a personal account of the actual process, and I have tried to be as complete as possible so as not to leave too much to your imagination.

I have not been timid about sharing with you certain problems encountered during this project, including the solutions I worked out along the way. Hopefully, this will help streamline things for you when you embark upon your own project.

This article is divided into several sections. Reading each section in order will give the best overall picture of the whole process and give you an idea of how each step flows into the next one. However, you may skip around if you wish!
